The capital of Turkmenistan continues the work of the large-scale international conference "White City Ashgabat", the second day of which is devoted to the issues of industrial modernization, construction and the introduction of innovative technologies.
The morning session, moderated by Stephen Conlon, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Turkmenistan, was devoted to key issues of quality, technology and financing in the construction industry and industrial production. Participants discussed the introduction of modern technologies in the production of building materials, effective strategies for financing infrastructure projects, international industrial cooperation and the role of digitalization in the development of trade and industry. The discussion was attended by the Minister of Industry and Construction Production Toyguly Nurov, the Minister of Finance and Economy Mammetguly Astanagulov, the Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmenhimiya" Dovrangeldi Sapbayev, as well as representatives of large international companies, including the General Director of the Daewoo E&C branch Min Manjun, the Country Director of the ADB representative office Artur Andrisyak and the Managing Director of the company "Interbudmontazh" Vladimir Petruk.
In the afternoon, conference participants will discuss the role of public-private partnerships in the development of construction, industry and construction of new highways, examining key PPP models, legal and financial mechanisms for their implementation in the context of digital transformation of the economy. The session will be attended by the Minister of Construction and Architecture Abdulla Geldiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Management of Highway Construction Hangeldi Kerimov, President of the China National Corporation for the Import and Export of Technical Equipment Liu Xu, Director of BVS Construction Limited Vadim Skorobogatko and other industry experts.
The final session of the day will be devoted to technological innovations in the modernization of the construction, industrial and energy sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan, where it is planned to discuss the introduction of digital technologies, the development of cooperation between business and the education system, as well as the use of artificial intelligence-based solutions in various industries. Key speakers will include Minister of Energy Annageldi Saparov, Director General of the International Renewable Energy Agency Francesco La Camera with a video message, Rector of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan Serdar Nazarov, as well as representatives of leading technology companies from Turkey, France and China.
