The Turkmen delegation took part in the international conference “Future We Want – Global Initiative for Young Leaders”, which took place on May 16 in Geneva.
The conference was organized by the Italian Diplomatic Academy with the support of the UN in cooperation with the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva.
The event became a significant platform for promoting youth initiatives aimed at creating a sustainable and peaceful future. In this context, the Turkmen delegation emphasized the special importance of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality as the country's contribution to strengthening global peace, trust and sustainable development.
Speaking at the conference, the representative of the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan focused on the continuity and strategic direction of the foreign policy course of the leadership of Turkmenistan. Particular attention in the speech was paid to initiatives reflecting the spirit of neutrality, constructive dialogue and international responsibility.
The Turkmen speaker also presented a number of national youth initiatives, including the “Young SDG Ambassadors” program and projects to develop international youth partnerships. These initiatives are aimed at implementing the Sustainable Development Agenda and expanding interaction between young leaders at the global level.
In conclusion, the Turkmen delegation reaffirmed the country's strong commitment to active participation in international efforts to build a sustainable, peaceful and inclusive world, placing particular emphasis on expanding the role of youth, developing dialogue and interstate cooperation.
