Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the vice-presidents of the Charity Fund

National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the city of Arkadag, where he held a working meeting with the vice-presidents of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care Oguljahan Atabayeva and Rejep Bazarov, TDH reports.

During the meeting, the vice-presidents reported on the recent activities of the Foundation and discussed its development prospects. Rejep Bazarov reported on the events dedicated to the 4th anniversary of the establishment of the Foundation and the international forum held on March 29, which brought together representatives of many countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, as well as UNICEF leaders.

An important outcome of the forum was the signing of a number of bilateral documents on cooperation, including the Document of Intent between the Fund and the UNICEF Representative Office in Turkmenistan, the Work Plan between the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan and UNICEF for 2025, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and UNICEF on the implementation of the joint Green School Program.

Bazarov also put forward a proposal to organize visits of the Fund’s board members to foreign countries, starting with the Republic of Uzbekistan. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved this initiative, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation and exchange of experience.

In her speech, Oguljahan Atabayeva emphasized the humanistic principles underlying the Foundation's activities and proposed a number of initiatives to improve the country's healthcare system, introduce advanced methods and digital technologies in medical institutions.

The National Leader noted that the development of the healthcare system depends on the successful implementation of the tasks of the Saglyk State Program, the main goal of which is disease prevention. He emphasized the importance of the "Healthy Mother - Healthy Child" principle and instructed to organize trips for Foundation representatives to the country's velayats to monitor the work of medical institutions and the implementation of the Saglyk program.

It was also noted that the Foundation donated modern medical equipment from leading global manufacturers to hospitals and health centers in the regions for the treatment of patients with chronic renal failure.
