Turkmenistan and Japan discussed strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation During his visit to Japan, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the Chairman of the Japan-Turkmen Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Endo Toshiaki. As reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed issues of strengthening bilateral relations between the countries.

During the conversation, the head of the Turkmen state emphasized the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation as an effective tool for improving mutual understanding and trust between states. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov especially noted the activities of the Turkmen-Japanese Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group in strengthening ties in this area.

Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the development of relations with Japan in the Asia-Pacific region. Today, bilateral cooperation is actively developing in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's visit to Japan began on April 13. Today, the head of state took part in the ceremonial events dedicated to the National Day of Turkmenistan at the EXPO 2025 exhibition in Osaka.

The Turkmenistan pavilion, designed in the shape of a rounded triangle, symbolizes renewal and sustainable development. The architectural solutions reflect the national culture of the country: the roof of the building is decorated with elements of the traditional women's jewelry "Gülýaka", and the exterior design is inspired by the Karakum Desert and decorated with motifs of Turkmen carpets and images of Ahal-Teke horses.
