The traditional “Language Week” has started at the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management.
As reported in the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan", the grand opening of the Week took place in the building of the Faculty of Management. Students greeted all participants of the celebration in Turkmen, English, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and German, which are studied at the institute.
Poems by famous poets were also read and songs of peoples of different countries were performed. Exhibitions of books published in different languages, creative works and photographs on the theme "My Hometown" were organized within the framework of the event.
The grand opening program included various competitions and quizzes.
In the coming days, as part of Language Week, a Spelling Bee competition will be held to help improve students' language skills.
Other competitions initiated by the intellectual and creative center at the Department of Foreign Languages will also be organized. In general, the Week will promote the development of language knowledge and broaden the horizons of students through familiarization with the traditions and culture of the peoples of different countries.
At the closing ceremony of the Language Week, its results will be summed up, and students who took an active part in this event will become the owners of memorable prizes.
