Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev made a working visit to Vilnius, where he met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Julius Pranevičius.
As reported on the website of the Embassy of Turkmenistan, N. Shagulyev presented the Lithuanian diplomat with an official invitation addressed to the President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The invitation concerns the participation of the Lithuanian side in the upcoming International Forum in Turkmenistan, dedicated to the proclamation of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
During the conversation, the parties highly appreciated the activities of the Turkmen-Lithuanian intergovernmental working group, confirming its key role in coordinating cooperation and developing bilateral relations. Ambassador Shagulyev emphasized the existing potential for expanding trade and economic ties and called for intensifying interaction between the business communities of the two countries.
