The international scientific and practical conference "Innovative Development of Medical Science and Education" has completed its work at the Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan. The two-day forum was attended by specialists from Russia, Germany, Belarus, China, Türkiye, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, “Neutral Turkmenistan” reports.
The event program included a plenary session and four thematic sections devoted to modern technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, innovative methods of developing medical science, developing new drugs and improving educational systems.
“Holding an international scientific and practical forum in a year that is held under the motto “International Year of Peace and Trust” symbolizes our country’s commitment to the principles of peaceful coexistence and equal cooperation,” said the rector of the medical university, Nargozel Muratnazarova, in her welcoming speech.
The participants were particularly interested in the reports on ophthalmology. Professor Karl Erb (Germany) presented research in the field of glaucoma pathogenesis, and research fellow at the Helmholtz National Medical Research Center for Eye Diseases Galina Davydova (Russia) highlighted a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosing ocular manifestations of autoimmune diseases.
The sectional sessions included presentations on transplant surgery, genetic engineering, and methods of treating cardiovascular and childhood diseases. Special attention was paid to the digitalization of medicine and the introduction of artificial intelligence into clinical practice.
In parallel with the scientific program, there was an exhibition of innovative educational platforms and developments by young scientists, demonstrating the technical equipment of the university and modern simulation laboratories.
