In early 2025, two boys diagnosed with right-sided cryptorchidism were successfully operated on at the Lebap velayat Maternal and Child Health Center. Ten-year-old Nurly Deryaev from the village of Krach in the Charjev etrap and eleven-year-old Kerven Ahmedov from the village of Bashsaka in the Kerki etrap received the necessary medical care at the expense of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship. This was reported by the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.
Over the four years of the foundation's existence, 87 operations have been performed for children in need of care in the Lebap velayat, 68 of which were performed directly at the maternal and child health center. The center's chief physician, Rovshen Rozyev, emphasized that caring for the health of the younger generation is the basis of the country's state policy.
"Thanks to the foundation's help, dozens of children received highly qualified medical care. Seeing children freed from suffering and their parents' faces beaming with happiness is a great reward for us," Rozyev noted.
The parents of the operated boys expressed deep gratitude for the assistance provided. "My son suffered from right-sided cryptorchidism for many years. The operation was successful, for which many thanks to the highly qualified specialists," shared Derya Yantakov, father of Nurla Deryaev.
In addition to funding the operations, the charity foundation provided the Lebap velayat multidisciplinary hospital with disposable masks, medical headgear, gowns, shoe covers and sheets, as well as two hemodialysis machines from the German company B.Braun. These machines are already helping patients with kidney failure, including Nurmuhammet Rozykulyev from the village of Duechi in the Charjev etrap.
