On April 16, the Second Meeting of Central Asian Youth, initiated by Turkmenistan, will be held at the UN Headquarters in New York.

The meeting will be held in the format of a high-level session within the framework of the ECOSOC Youth Forum and is timed to coincide with the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the 10th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on youth, peace and security. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen delegation will include representatives of the ministries of education and foreign affairs, as well as active students from the country's leading universities.

Participants will present current projects, discuss the development of a culture of peace, sustainable education, social entrepreneurship and preparation for the next forum within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Countries (LLDC3), which will be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone this August. The forum is expected to result in the expansion of the Central Asian youth network, the approval of mechanisms for permanent interaction, the development of proposals for LLDC3, and the promotion of the role of youth in the international arena.

In addition to the countries of the Central Asian region, representatives of other countries and international organizations expressed interest in participating in the meeting in New York, which indicates that the Dialogue platform has gone beyond the framework of an exclusively regional format.
