China will demonstrate lunar soil collected from both sides of the Moon abroad for the first time. Unique samples obtained by Chinese probes will be presented on April 13 at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, bigasia.ru reports.
Hu Hao, chief designer of the “Chang'e-6” lunar probe, said: "No one has collected soil samples from the far side of the moon before. Scientists have already shown great interest in our materials. Thanks to the “Chang'e-6” mission, our knowledge of the origin of the Earth's satellite has greatly expanded. There are significant differences between the samples from different sides of the moon from a scientific point of view. However, visually, these specimens are very similar to each other."
China's participation in Expo 2025 will highlight the country's contribution to the global scientific community and its commitment to the peaceful exploration of space.
