After “Washington Capitals” forward Alexander Ovechkin scored his 895th goal and surpassed Wayne Gretzky's legendary achievement, items autographed by the Russian NHL star began to be sold at unprecedented prices, reaching 2 million rubles, URA.RU reports.

"So, the cost of the sticks that Ovechkin played with and signed is now 1.5 - 2 million rubles. A graphological examination, if the buyer wants to make sure that it was Ovechkin who signed the stick, will cost another 30 000 rubles," writes the publication AIF.RU with reference to sellers of the hockey player's collectibles.

It is noteworthy that some owners of memorable items even remove them from sale, counting on further growth in value in the future. Most sellers who have items of the Russian athlete are his devoted fans.
