Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, met with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso as part of the first summit in the “Central Asia – European Union” format, which is being held in the city of Samarkand, TDH reports.
During the meeting, the head of state noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening and expanding international partnership in implementing the economic development strategy, in particular, intensifying ties with reputable financial institutions and credit and banking structures. In this regard, the effective and long-term nature of Turkmenistan’s cooperation with the EBRD was noted with satisfaction.
Having highly assessed the development of Turkmenistan’s economic system, Odile Renaud-Basso confirmed her interest in further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation. Among the relevant areas, interaction in the fields of energy, transport and the digital economy was identified.
