1. The city of Arkadag held a ceremony to award the Certificate of Excellence of China's Hangzhou Dianzi University. This prestigious document recognizes Arkadag as an outstanding green and environmentally friendly "smart" city.The event was attended by city leaders, the Ambassador of China to Turkmenistan Qian Naicheng, respected elders and youth representatives. The ceremony was held in the main building of the Aba Annaev International Horse Breeding Academy.
2. Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia Muhammetgeldi Ayazov and Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia Artur Martirosyan discussed issues of the bilateral agenda in the cultural, humanitarian, scientific, educational and sports spheres.The issues of mutual participation of university professors in international seminars and conferences, as well as participation of students and schoolchildren of the two countries in thematic Olympiads were considered.
3. A traditional iftar was held at the residence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Ashgabat, bringing together representatives of various faiths and public figures of Turkmenistan. The gala evening dedicated to breaking the fast in the holy month of Ramadan was attended by the Mufti of Turkmenistan Yalkap Hojaguliyev, Catholic and Orthodox clergy, which emphasized the interfaith nature of the event. The honorary guests of the iftar were also resident ambassadors of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, employees of the Turkish embassy, representatives of business circles and administrators of Turkish-Turkmen educational institutions.

4. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held an official presentation of the National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking for 2025–2029. The document was approved by the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in January 2025.The event was attended by members of the Interdepartmental Commission for Combating Human Trafficking, as well as representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in the country. According to the participants of the meeting, the adoption of this document is aimed at strengthening the state system for protecting human rights and freedoms, fulfilling Turkmenistan's international obligations, expanding humanitarian cooperation with international organizations and strengthening efforts to prevent threats at the national level.

1. A Peruvian fisherman missing for nearly three months has been found alive in Ecuadorian waters. Napa Castro was last contacted on December 7, 2024, when he set out on a fishing expedition on his boat, the Gaton 2, from the port of Marcona. The man initially maintained contact with his family, but lost contact 10 days later, when he was about 40 miles from Santa Rosa Island.The fisherman's relatives immediately contacted the relevant services, but the search and rescue operation was unsuccessful. Napa Castro's whereabouts remained unknown for 84 days. The Peruvian was found in critical condition by the crew of an Ecuadorian fishing vessel.By the time he was rescued, the man was suffering from severe dehydration, having spent the last two weeks without drinking water.

2. Scientists have identified unique anti-aging genes in Maria Brañas Morera, a US-born woman who was considered the world's oldest person before her death at age 117. Scientists who studied Brañas' microbiome and DNA while she was alive found that the genetic material she inherited allowed her cells to feel as if they were 17 years younger than their actual age.The team of scientists found that Branyas retained a clear mind almost until the end of her life. The main health problems she faced throughout her long years were limited to joint pain and hearing loss.

1. The Turkmenistan national tennis team made a successful debut at the prestigious ITF Master's World Team Championship tournament, held in Manavgat, Turkey. The national team in the 30+ age category made it to the quarterfinals of the competition, where 12 of the world's strongest teams are competing. In the group stage, the Turkmen team lost to the UK team with a score of 0:3, but in the decisive match for reaching the quarterfinals, they won an important victory over the Canadian team. In the quarterfinals, the Turkmen tennis players will meet the Indian team.
