On March 12, 2025, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan adopted a resolution on amendments to the administrative territory of the city of Arkadag. According to the document signed by the Chairperson of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova, 65 hectares of Ashgabat land were transferred to the administrative territory of the city of Arkadag, TDH reports.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan, together with the hakimlik of the city of Arkadag, was instructed to describe the new administrative-territorial boundaries.
The decision was made in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan “On the procedure for resolving issues of administrative-territorial division of Turkmenistan” and is aimed at further development of urban economy and optimization of management.
