European Commissioner for International Partnerships Jozef Sikela will visit five Central Asian countries from March 12 to 18, the EU Delegation to Turkmenistan reported.
The tour will start in Turkmenistan and continue to Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and end in Uzbekistan. The trip aims to strengthen the partnership between the EU and the countries of the region ahead of the upcoming EU-Central Asia Summit, which will take place on April 3-4 in Uzbekistan.
The key objective of the visit is to expand the Global Gateway initiative – the EU's investment strategy aimed at stimulating sustainable economic growth and job creation.
