On March 29, 2025, the city of Arkadag will host the international conference “Year of Peace and Trust: Development of International Humanitarian Activities”. The event is organized by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov during a briefing dedicated to the upcoming international events within the framework of the declared “International Year of Peace and Trust” and the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
According to Rashid Meredov, state and public structures of foreign countries, representatives of international organizations and their representative offices engaged in humanitarian and social activities have been invited to participate in the conference. The main topics of the forum will be healthcare, medical care, educational services for children and adolescents, as well as climate change issues.
In addition, other important international events are planned in Turkmenistan in March. On March 19, Ashgabat will host a conference entitled “International Year of Peace and Trust: the Role of Interregional Economic Cooperation in Ensuring Sustainable Development” with the participation of representatives of government agencies, international organizations and financial institutions, as well as company executives.
The head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry also announced the holding of a ministerial meeting “Central Asia – European Union” in Ashgabat, which will take place on the eve of the first “Central Asia – EU” summit.
Representatives of international organizations and diplomatic missions present at the briefing noted the important role of Turkmenistan in promoting peace, stability and economic integration in the region.
