Special Adviser to Japanese Prime Minister Expresses Gratitude for Visit to Turkmenistan

Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Japan Akihisa Nagashima sent a letter of gratitude to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov following his visit to the country, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

In his address, the Japanese diplomat noted that this was his first visit to Ashgabat and he was impressed by the warmth of the local people, the rich culture and history of the country, as well as the deep bilateral ties between Turkmenistan and Japan.

Nagashima expressed his readiness to further promote the strengthening of friendly relations with Turkmenistan and Central Asia as a whole. He also thanked the Turkmen side for accepting Japan's position on the upcoming Summit within the framework of the Dialogue "Central Asia + Japan".

According to the adviser, the Japanese side will continue to consider the possibility of holding this Summit at a time convenient for both Japan and the Central Asian countries. Japan also confirmed its readiness for further cooperation with Turkmenistan in preparation for this international event.

In conclusion of the letter, Akihisa Nagashima wished Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov good health and well-being, as well as further development and prosperity for Turkmenistan.
