6. Two innovative medical institutions in Ashgabat have been awarded the prestigious GERMAN DESIGN AWARD WINNER 2025 certificates by the German Design Council Rat für Formgebung. The International Health and Rehabilitation Center and the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology were recognized for their outstanding architectural features and modern medical equipment that meets international standards.The 400-bed International Health and Rehabilitation Center and the 250-bed International Scientific and Clinical Physiology Center were opened in October last year. Both facilities were built by the Turkish company GAP Inşaat.

2. The International Olympic Committee has accepted the resignation of its current president, Thomas Bach, who submitted his resignation to the executive committee this week.
