Two innovative medical institutions in Ashgabat have been awarded the prestigious GERMAN DESIGN AWARD WINNER 2025 certificates by the German Design Council Rat für Formgebung. The International Health and Rehabilitation Center and the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology were recognized for their outstanding architectural features and modern medical equipment that meet international standards, TDH reports.
The 400-bed International Health and Rehabilitation Center and the 250-bed International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology were opened in October last year. Both facilities, built by the Turkish company GAP Inşaat Ýatyrym we Dyş Tijaret A.Ş., were recognized not only for their architectural excellence, but also for providing high-quality services to patients and creating optimal working conditions that meet international requirements.
The International Health and Rehabilitation Center is unique for Turkmenistan and the entire Central Asian region, specializing in the rehabilitation of patients after injuries and illnesses. With more than 20 different departments equipped with multimedia rehabilitation equipment, the center provides both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services for adults and children.
Meanwhile, the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology studies the healing properties of plants, research in the field of allergology and immunology, proper nutrition, physical activity, sports physiology and labor physiology. The center uses innovative equipment that reduces the time of postoperative rehabilitation and helps patients recover faster.
