Japanese Ambassador to Turkmenistan Sasaki Hiroshi delivered a speech in the Turkmen language during an official reception in Ashgabat dedicated to the upcoming birthday of Emperor of Japan Naruhito, the correspondent of Turkmenportal reports.
The event was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the country, representatives of international organizations, business circles and the media.
In his speech, the ambassador emphasized the high level of friendly and partner relations between Japan and Turkmenistan. “I would like to once again express my gratitude to all those who have contributed to the development of relations between our two countries in recent years,” Sasaki Hiroshi noted.
The diplomat also announced the upcoming visit of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Japan in connection with the opening of the World Expo 2025 in Osaka. “I will personally do everything possible to ensure that his first visit to Japan as President is fruitful for both countries,” the ambassador assured.
The festive program included performances by Turkmen and Japanese creative groups, which emphasized the cultural interaction between the countries.
Recall that Emperor of Japan Naruhito will celebrate his birthday on February 23 – the monarch will turn 65 years old.
