These days, a group of young Ashgabat residents in need of rehabilitation treatment are undergoing inpatient treatment at the Maternal and Child Health Center of the city of Arkadag and the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Rehabilitation Center.
As the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports, the children are also treated with a treatment method through communication with the Ahal-Teke horse: feeding it, caring for it and observing it, as well as participating in various games with it.
This has a pronounced therapeutic effect for children undergoing treatment. The method, known since the time of Hippocrates, is useful as a restorative treatment for nervous tension, severe fatigue, and diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system.Such treatment strengthens the child's self-confidence and trust in treatment, develops courage, nobility and hard work, and also develops a sense of respect for the national heritage.
The successful implementation in the Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center of the city of Arkadag, along with traditional restorative methods of treatment, of the hippotherapy method, based on medical recommendations and proposals of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov,is another evidence of the state’s concern for the full health of children in need of health restoration.
