The Galkynysh National Equestrian Games Group successfully performed at the 47th International Circus Festival in Monte Carlo, where it was awarded the Gold Award and other special prizes.
Galkynysh, being a multiple winner of international festivals, presented a vibrant program filled with circus tricks of varying complexity.
At the festival, this renowned group presented the number “National Equestrian Games of the Turkmen”, which captivated the audience from the first minutes. The magnificence and speed of the Akhal-Teke horses, the national costumes of the artists, the coordination of the riders’ movements, the high level of performance of the most difficult tricks – all this is a breathtaking spectacle.
Acrobatic and gymnastic tricks performed by Galkynysh, perfect mastery of horse control skills are a unique feature of the circus art of Turkmenistan.
The group was created in 2007 on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Performing in various countries, the Galkynysh group has won a number of prestigious international awards, including the Grand Prix at the IDOL World Circus Festival in 2013 in Moscow, the XVI International Circus Festival in 2014 in Italy, the II International Circus Arts Festival in 2015 in China, and the II World Nomad Games in 2016 in Kyrgyzstan. In 2018, at the I International Circus Arts Festival on Fontanka in St. Petersburg, the Galkynysh group was awarded the Golden Gaetano statuette.
At the festival in Monte Carlo, the Galkynysh group traditionally demonstrated high art.

Among the main goals of the festival are to increase the popularity of circus arts, its further development and continuation of traditions, identify talented artists from all over the world, and strengthen cultural ties. The festival, which features artists of various genres, is held in a special circus tent in the center of Monte Carlo.
The invitation of the famous team of our country to such a prestigious international competition testifies to the recognition of the success of the circus arts of Turkmenistan in the world, TDH reports.
