1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the head of strategic partnership development in Central Asia of John Deere Csaba Lejko. During the conversation, the prospects for further cooperation in the field of agriculture and the introduction of modern technologies in the agro-industrial complex of the country were discussed.

2. A solemn ceremony of awarding military personnel and law enforcement officers was held in Turkmenistan in connection with the 33rd anniversary of independence. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed decrees on the presentation of state awards, conferring the next military and special ranks, as well as class ranks.

3. At the UN headquarters in New York, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. The parties exchanged views on the development of cooperation, as well as on issues of regional peace and security. The Turkmen side confirmed the country's commitment to the implementation of a foreign policy based on the status of permanent neutrality. At the same time, it was announced about the intention to closely cooperate with the UN in implementing the initiative to prepare a Global Security Strategy, put forward by the President of Turkmenistan at the previous session of the General Assembly.

4. Turkmenistan held festive horse races in honor of the 33rd anniversary of the country's independence. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov personally took part in the celebrations. The competition included seven races of various distances, with 12 horses participating in each. The winners of the first six races received 100 thousand manats, and the winner of the final seventh race was awarded a special prize of 300 thousand manats, established by the President of Turkmenistan. The final race, which became the culmination of the event, was won by a palomino horse named Bezirgen, belonging to the Ahal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan. Under the control of jockey Agamyradov, he covered a distance of 1800 meters in 2 minutes 06,8 seconds.

5. Bucharest hosted the Asian Culture Festival, where Turkmenistan made a vibrant presentation of its cultural heritage. The national stand of Turkmenistan featured modern national costumes, traditional carpets, musical instruments and handicrafts.

6. The 6th World Invention Competition and Exhibition, organized by the Indonesian Young Scientists Association and MAHSA University, was held in Kuala Lumpur. This prestigious international competition was attended by 126 talented schoolchildren from 15 countries, including four students from the Ashgabat Specialized General Education Boarding School named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashy. Turkmen schoolchildren demonstrated outstanding results, winning one gold and three silver medals.

7. Choi Soon Hwa, an 80 years old South Korean woman, has surprised the world by making it to the finals of the national selection for the “Miss Universe” pageant. Today, Choi will compete with other contestants for the right to represent Korea at the international stage of “Miss Universe 2024” in Mexico. Previously, the pageant limited the age of contestants to 18-28 years old, but since 2024, the upper limit has been abolished. “I want to shock the world: ‘How can an 80 years old woman be so healthy? How does she maintain such a body? What is her diet like?’ As you age, you gain weight… So, I want to show that we can live a healthy life even when we age”, - Choi shared in an interview.

Under the guidance of the legendary Orazmuhammed Bashimov, world champion in kickboxing and head of the Turkmenistan Muay Thai Federation, the country's athletes are actively preparing for the Turkmenistan Muay Thai Cup, which will be held in October this year. Bashimov, who heads the Ashgabat club “Fighting Gloves”, pays special attention to the training of young fighters. His students, including brothers Islam and Selim Shamuhammedov, are training enthusiastically, hoping to show high results at the upcoming tournament. The Turkmenistan Muay Thai Federation, founded in 2014, unites about 200 athletes across the country. The upcoming Cup will be an important stage in the development of this sport in Turkmenistan and preparation for future international competitions.
