1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the European Union Commissioner for International Cooperation Jutta Urpilainen, during which they discussed the prospects for developing cooperation and the launch of the Trans-Caspian Coordination Platform for Transport Crossings. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the agreements reached will contribute to the further development of cooperation between the EU and the Central Asian countries.
2. On Thursday, a meeting of the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan was held in Ashgabat under the chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. During the meeting, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov presented a program of events for 2025 that will reflect the policy of neutrality, strengthening peace, security and trust, as well as the development of a culture of dialogue and issues of climate change and ecology.
3. The laboratory of energy production and energy saving technology of the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan received a certificate for the development of a technology for the production of gray-gravel inert material. The main goal of this development is to create an effective method for obtaining gray-gravel inert material by processing sulfur waste. The new technology is aimed not only at obtaining valuable material, but also at solving environmental problems associated with waste disposal.
4. Gardeners in the Magtymguly etrap of the Balkan velayat continue to harvest pomegranates. The fruits grown in the fertile gardens of the Sumbar valley have not only a pleasant taste, but also medicinal properties. Breeders and gardeners in this region have developed many varieties of pomegranate adapted to local conditions. The fruits, known under the common name “Pomegranate of Beautiful Sumbar”, have become popular not only in Turkmenistan, but also abroad. The yield of each tree varies from 20 to 70 kilograms, and the weight of some fruits can reach 500-600 grams. The pomegranate harvesting season in the subtropical region of Turkmenistan will continue until the end of November.
5. Starting from October 9, several bus routes will change in Ashgabat in order to improve the quality of service and meet the needs of the population for automobile transportation. Route No. 18 will be redirected from Andalib street to Gorogly street. Route No. 32 will now turn around at the Archabil avenue roundabout and return to Andalib street. Route No. 46 will follow Andalib street, make a U-turn at the Archabil avenue roundabout and go back to Andalib street.
6. Within the framework of the 57th session of the Human Rights Council, the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva, together with the Permanent Representatives of Central Asian countries, organized an event on the topic “Human Rights and the Right to Development”. The event was attended by the Permanent Representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of international organizations and human rights experts.

8. The Turkmenistan U17 national football team won a confident victory over the Azerbaijan national team with a score of 3:0 at the international tournament in Erzurum. The tournament, organized by the Turkish Football Federation, brought together teams from five Turkic-speaking countries and the invited Georgian national team. In the first round, Ahmed Allaberdiyev's team lost to Türkiye with a score of 0:3.
