During a meeting in New York between the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia Sok Chenda Sophea, the parties outlined the potential for business activity and trade cooperation between the two countries.
In this regard, the possibility of sending business delegations and trade representatives to explore the possibilities of trade relations was discussed.
The ministers also discussed the organization of joint events and prospects for cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
At the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia on holding political consultations.
The parties paid special attention to cooperation within the framework of international structures, in particular the UN, the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and others, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
This meeting was held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
