1. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated citizens on Independence Day. In his address, the head of state noted the significant successes of Turkmenistan over the years and emphasized the importance of the reforms being carried out. On September 27, ceremonial events were held in Ashgabat. In the morning, the President laid flowers at the Independence Monument. Then a large-scale military parade took place, demonstrating the power of the country's armed forces. Particular attention was drawn to the participation of female servicemen and equestrian units on Ahal-Teke horses. The culmination of the holiday was a grand fireworks display over the capital. Festivities and concerts were held throughout the country. In honor of the holiday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was presented with an Ahal-Teke stallion named Dovamly.

2. The President of Turkmenistan and the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty held a number of meetings with representatives of foreign companies. They discussed prospects for cooperation with the Russian “Vozrozhdenie” Group, German CLAAS, French Bouygues and American John Deere. Particular attention was paid to projects in the fields of construction, agriculture and industry. In addition, the head of state and the National Leader received the Chairman of the World Ethnosport Confederation Bilal Erdogan, at meetings with whom they discussed prospects for the development of sports cooperation.

3. In New York, the delegation of Turkmenistan, headed by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, is taking part in the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. Meetings were held with representatives of the UN and OSCE, where issues of international cooperation were discussed.

4. The European Commission has given Türkiye and Germany six months to resolve a dispute over the doner kebab recipe. The conflict began in 2022, when Türkiye demanded that German restaurants prepare doner kebab using the traditional recipe. Germany opposed this, as the dish is prepared differently in Europe. If the countries fail to reach an agreement, the EU will set its own standards for preparing doner.

5. Batman became the first superhero to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Burt Ward, who played Robin in the 60s TV series, attended the ceremony. Batman's star is located next to the names of Adam West and Bob Kane. The intrigue was the appearance of a man in a Batman costume.

6. 20 years old Shahzadbek Matyakubov from Turkmenistan set a new world record at the Junior World Weightlifting Championships in Spain. In the 102 kg weight category, he lifted 216 kg in the clean and jerk, beating the previous record by 1 kg. Matyakubov also won the gold medal in the combined event with a result of 391 kg.

7. Yuri Rogusskii won an impressive victory at the Turkmenistan Tennis Cup, reclaiming his title as the country's number one tennis player. In a tense final, he beat the reigning champion Meylis Orazmuhammedov with a score of 1:6, 6:3, 7:6. The tournament brought together more than 100 athletes from different regions.

8. The men's and women's chess teams of Turkmenistan made a real breakthrough at the 45th World Chess Olympiad in Budapest. Both teams won gold medals in their categories, significantly improving their positions in the overall standings. The men's team took 24th place, and the women's team took 32nd place, which was the best result in the history of the country's participation in these competitions.
