Scientists predict several periods of magnetic storms in October 2024, writes Yandex Weather.
The first disturbance of the Earth's magnetosphere is expected on October 5. This magnetic storm will last about two days and reach an intensity of 3 points on a five-point scale.
The second geostorm is expected from October 10-11 to October 12-13. Its strength is also estimated as moderate – from 3 to 4 points.
The final magnetic storm of the month is expected from October 22 to 24, with a possible extension to the 26th. The intensity of this geomagnetic disturbance is predicted to be at the same level – 3-4 points.
Experts note that all magnetic storms expected in October are classified as weak or moderate and should not cause serious concerns. However, people sensitive to geomagnetic fluctuations are advised to take precautions during the specified periods.
