The XVII Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS Countries, held from September 17 to 19 in Bashkortostan, became a platform for discussing the importance of international cooperation in the field of culture and education. The Turkmen delegation took an active part in the event, presenting the country's achievements in the field of music education and science.
Bahargul Yakubova, senior lecturer and head of the History of Music Department at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva, gave a presentation on the importance of cooperation between creative universities in the music education system. She emphasized the role of international humanitarian cooperation in strengthening cultural ties between the CIS countries and integrating Turkmenistan into the global cultural space.
In her speech, Yakubova noted the successes of Turkmen students at international competitions and festivals, including the 17th Delphic Games in Bishkek, where young talents were awarded medals and special diplomas.
Particular attention was paid to the cooperation of the Turkmen National Conservatory with leading music universities in Russia and Kazakhstan.
The speaker also spoke about the participation of Turkmen musicians in the CIS Youth Orchestra and about the recently published atlas “Musical Instruments of Turkic-Speaking Peoples”, in the creation of which Turkmen musicologists took part.
The forum confirmed the importance of cultural exchange and cooperation between the CIS countries, which contributes to the mutual enrichment of cultures and the strengthening of international ties in the field of education and art.
