Turkmen karate fighter won bronze at the Asian Championship in China

Davut Nazmyradov, a representative of Turkmenistan, won bronze at the 20th WKF Asian Karate Championships, which ended in the Chinese city of Hangzhou. The athlete achieved success in the men's kumite discipline in the weight category up to 75 kg, where 19 athletes competed for the awards. This was reported by the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

The championship, organized by the Asian Karate Federation (AKF), brought together 356 of the best athletes from 30 countries. Participants competed not only for medals in kata and kumite, but also for the right to participate in the upcoming World Cup, which will be held in November in Pamplona, Spain.

Turkmenistan was represented at the competition by a delegation of 12 people, including 6 athletes, 3 judges, 2 coaches and a manager. Davut Nazmyradov managed to win the only medal for his country, winning three victories on the way to the bronze podium.

The championship was held under the auspices of the World Karate Federation (WKF), the largest karate organization in the world, recognized by the International Olympic Committee. WKF unites 200 countries from five continental federations and has more than one hundred million members worldwide.
