1. Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov returned to Ashgabat after a one-day working visit to Kazakhstan, where he took part in the second meeting of heads of state of the “Central Asia-Germany” format. The summit, held in Astana, brought together the leaders of Central Asian countries and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to discuss regional cooperation and security. During the visit, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a number of important meetings, including talks with representatives of the German business community and a separate conversation with the German Chancellor. At the summit, the President of Turkmenistan delivered a speech in which he emphasized the importance of developing relations between the Central Asian countries and Germany, especially in the areas of regional security, economic cooperation and ecology.

2. A concert of the combined orchestras – the CIS Youth Symphony Orchestra and the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan – was held in Ufa, with Turkmen musicians and conductor Rasul Klychev performing brilliantly.

3. World-renowned energy expert and Pulitzer Prize winner Daniel Yergin will attend the 29th International Conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan”, which will be held in Ashgabat from October 23 to 25. Yergin will speak at the plenary session, which will focus on discussing new trends in the global energy market and prospects for international cooperation.

4. The first official event was held in the Magtymguly Fragi auditorium, recently opened at the Sukhumi State University of Tbilisi. The round table, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet, brought together representatives of science, culture, political scientists and journalists from Turkmenistan and Georgia. The participants of the round table noted the great importance of the new auditorium in strengthening the cultural and humanitarian dialogue. They expressed confidence that this space will become an effective platform for holding joint cultural and scientific events.

5. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan organized a briefing dedicated to the beginning of new stages of construction of the transnational gas pipeline TAPI and other important transport and communications projects. Acting MFA of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaqi in his speech emphasized that on September 11, a ceremony of commissioning and beginning of construction of a number of facilities was held at the “Islim-Cheshme” border checkpoint. The event was attended by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Acting Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Afghanistan Molla Mohammed Hasan Akhund. It was especially noted that the construction work on the TAPI project in Turkmenistan has been completed, and now the project is being implemented on Afghan soil.

6. A Canadian company has developed pants with a built-in exoskeleton equipped with powerful motors. This invention significantly increases leg strength and creates a feeling of lightness when walking. The new product, called MO/GO, is made to order. The frame is made of carbon fiber, and motors are located in the knee area, powered by a battery on the belt. Interestingly, the battery is recharged automatically when descending from high places. Despite weighing three kilograms, the invention permits you to feel 13,6 kg lighter when walking and increases leg strength by 40%. MO/GO is expected to go on sale in 2025 at a price of about 5000 USD.

7. A group of scientists from Germany found that reducing the time spent on a smartphone improves attitudes towards work. The experiment involved four groups: one group reduced smartphone use by an hour a day, one group exercised, one group did both, and one group was a control group. The results showed that reducing time on the smartphone improved job satisfaction, motivation, work-life balance, and mental health. Participants also saw a reduction in congestion and symptoms of smartphone addiction.

8. Head coach of Turkmenistan's national soccer team Mergen Orazov recently returned from Portugal, where he underwent an intensive internship. He met with Portuguese Football Federation technical director Jose Coseiro and Portuguese national team head coach Roberto Martinez to discuss the league structure, talent development methods and coach training system. Based on his experience, Orazov plans to make a number of changes in the national team's training, focusing on young players. The Turkmenistan Football Federation is also undergoing a modernization process, including the creation of a video archive of matches and cooperation with international platforms to promote Turkmen players.

9. At the 45th World Chess Olympiad held in Budapest, the women's team of Turkmenistan demonstrates impressive results. After the sixth round, the Turkmen chess players topped the standings in the C category, scoring 8 team points out of 12 possible. The nearest competitor of the Turkmen national team in category C is the Malaysian team, which also scored 8 points.
