What documents are needed for admission to universities in China and Hungary for the 2024/2025 academic year

The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan announced the selection of students to study at higher educational institutions in China and Hungary under the undergraduate program for the 2024/2025 academic year.

The Department clarified that candidates must be citizens of Turkmenistan and have a general secondary, secondary vocational or higher education.

Information on the list of specialties, number of places, as well as training conditions is provided by the Commission for Admission of Documents. Documents are accepted from January 3 to 10, 2024 at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University.

The list of documents includes:

  • application and questionnaire of the standard for citizens of Turkmenistan;
  • application form required for studying at higher educational institutions of the People's Republic of China in the prescribed forms;
  • certificate of education issued by licensed institutions of the country (certified copy and translation);
  • a certificate stating that the applicant did not study or receive a scholarship at a university in the People's Republic of China at the relevant level of education (receipt);
  • original document on secondary or secondary specialized education (extract and certified translation);
  • original certificate of successful completion of academic courses at the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test), TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), IELTS (International English Language Testing System) and HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) levels.

Applicants with an SAT certificate enjoy preferential admission rates;

  • a certificate of health of the established form, issued by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan (certificate of the health of citizens who are applicants for admission to higher educational institutions located abroad);
  • characteristics from the last place of study or work (military unit);
  • 12 (twelve) 3x4 photographs.

When enrolling in state secondary and secondary specialized educational institutions, schoolchildren - winners of the state round of subject Olympiads, members of national teams of Turkmenistan who took prizes at International Olympiads and competitions in general education subjects - also enjoy benefits.

In addition, those wishing to enter the university must submit to the admissions committee, along with the above documents, the documents listed below:

  • passport of a citizen of Turkmenistan, as well as a passport permitting exit from Turkmenistan and entry into Turkmenistan;
  • a military ID document confirming military service in the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan and a registration certificate for young men who have not completed military service, issued by local military committees.

The admissions committee has the right to request additional information about the applicant.

The applicant is personally responsible for incorrect or false information, as well as for forged documents.
