During his visit to Kazan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will hold a number of meetings with the Russian leadership and high-ranking representatives of the Russian government, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
According to the agency, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left for the capital of Tatarstan to participate in the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum 2025”.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan will attend the forum as an honorary guest. Turkmenistan's participation in this event is considered in the context of an extensive agenda of interaction with the Russian Federation and the Islamic world, aimed at developing long-term partnerships in politics, economics, trade, culture and humanitarian spheres.
The Republic of Tatarstan occupies a special place in the international cooperation of Turkmenistan due to its powerful resource and industrial potential and historical ties between the two nations. Recently, relations between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan have been given additional impetus, which brings them to a new level.
The forum is hosting the international exhibition "Russia Halal Expo 2025", where the national exposition of Turkmenistan is traditionally one of the most representative. It demonstrates a wide range of goods from Turkmen manufacturers representing various sectors of national industry and agriculture.
The visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the National Leader of the Turkmen people to Kazan is intended to become a significant event in the process of developing Turkmen-Russian interstate cooperation, as well as significantly strengthen the country's ties with the states of the Islamic world, the report says.
