President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received a delegation from the United Arab Emirates, which included Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Director General of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Soltan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the UAE Ahmed Al Sayegh. During the talks, the parties emphasized that bilateral relations are strategic in nature and are based on the principles of friendship, equality and mutual respect. Positive dynamics in the development of cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were noted. Political and diplomatic interaction between Turkmenistan and the UAE is strengthening through regular contacts at the highest level.
Particular attention was paid to partnership in the fuel and energy sector. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the strategic importance of bilateral cooperation in this area and confirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to intensify cooperation with ADNOC.
During the meeting, the successful implementation of a number of projects with the participation of UAE financial and investment institutions in Turkmenistan in recent years was also noted.
Following the talks, the head of Turkmenistan confirmed his commitment to the course of consistently expanding constructive relations with the UAE and wished the representatives of the Emirati delegation success in their activities.
