1. Turkmenistan's Anamjan Rustamova has won the Junior World Weightlifting Championships. The tournament is taking place in Peru. Rustamova won the 87 kg weight category, lifting a total of 249 kg - 108 in the snatch and 141 in the clean and jerk).
2. A large-scale race under the motto "Sport is the key to peace and trust" took place in the Turkmen capital. More than 550 people took part in the sporting event, including students of higher educational institutions, students of sports schools and representatives of the capital's public of various age categories. The length of the route was more than three kilometers.
