The “Single Window for Export-Import Operations” system, introduced in Turkmenistan in 2024, has shown excellent results.
Last year, the total number of applications processed in the “Single Window” system was about 100 thousand, and in the first quarter of 2025, almost 58 thousand applications were submitted through the platform. This was reported on the website of the Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
The system includes 24 ministries and industry departments that issue permits for export, import and transit. More than 9000 users have registered here.
The “Single Window” project, launched by the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan in cooperation with UNDP and the UN Conference on Trade and Development, is one of the key stages in the country's transition to a digital economy.
The “Single Window” system has significantly accelerated and simplified foreign economic activity. Faster document processing and reduced workflow create conditions for export growth and attracting new partners. At the same time, cargo transit times are also reduced, and logistics routes are becoming more convenient.
