The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) is interested in intensifying cooperation with Turkmenistan and expanding the range of goods for exchange trading. This was reported to journalists by the assistant to the chairman of the board of BUCE, Yaroslav Kovalchuk, on the sidelines of the International Trade and Services Fair (ITSE 2025) in Ashgabat.
“We need to come here more often, because within the framework of such events there is an opportunity to get acquainted with a large number of business entities of Turkmenistan and foreign companies interested in working with our country,” Kovalchuk noted.
According to him, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange is a “single entry point to the Belarusian market” through which all state enterprises of the country pass. “By entering our commodity exchange, Turkmen enterprises essentially gain access to our entire market with all prices and delivery terms,” the BUCE representative emphasized.
According to Kovalchuk, today the trade turnover between the exchanges of the two countries is formed mainly due to the export of Belarusian sawn timber. “The dynamics are positive. That is, from year to year the volume of exchange trade turnover, primarily due to the increase in the export of Belarusian products, is steadily growing,” he stated, adding that the most promising goods for import from Turkmenistan are textiles and fruit and vegetable products.
The international exhibition and fair ITSE 2025 has started its work in the exhibition center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The event brought together about 250 delegates from 35 countries and will last until May 1. The forum was organized by the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan in partnership with the Turkmen Expo company.
