In accordance with the “Program of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan and investments in 2025”, approved in February of this year, the expected investment volumes for the agency “Türkmenaragatnaşyk” (“Turkmen Communications”) this year will amount to over 82 million manats, for closed joint-stock companies “Altyn Asyr” and “Ashgabat City Telephone Network” – 37 and 3 million manats, respectively. It is also planned to increase the number of main telephone numbers to 613 thousand units, and mobile subscribers – to more than 6 thousand 700 units.

In this context, the “National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the Transformation of Social and Living Conditions of the Population of Villages, Towns, Cities, Etraps and Etrap Centers for the Period up to 2028” continues in a new capacity – at the level of digitalization of regions and the hinterland, becoming a powerful catalyst for their socio-economic development, the source notes.
