The Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) hosted the festival “Unity in Traditions – a Step to Peace”, organized on the initiative of the Embassy of Turkmenistan, the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic mission in Moscow reported.
The event Is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality as part of the International Year of Peace and Trust.
The program included performances by artists with folk dances and songs, as well as an exhibition of carpets, traditional dishes and jewelry emphasizing the national flavor. A video specially prepared by the embassy about the latest achievements of Turkmenistan was also presented.
The festival participants noted the relevance of the slogan of 2025, declared in Turkmenistan as the “Year of Peace and Trust”, emphasizing that the festival was an important step towards strengthening ties between students from different countries and the atmosphere of friendship for which RUDN is famous.
According to the Turkmen embassy, 1,270 citizens of Turkmenistan are currently studying at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.
