A new procedure for certification of services in the field of physical culture and sports has been approved in Turkmenistan. The corresponding joint order was signed by the Chairman of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports A. Saparov and the Head of the Main State Service "Turkmenstandartlary" M. Hojagulyev on January 13, 2025 and registered by the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan on February 13, 2025.
Main provisions of the new certification procedure
The document regulates the certification procedure for all sports services in the country and is aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens, monitoring the quality of services provided and protecting consumers from poor quality service.
Key points of the new order:
Mandatory certification: All legal entities and individuals providing services in the field of physical education and sports are required to obtain a certificate of conformity.
Authorized body: Certification will be carried out by the Organization for the Conducting and Coordination of Sports Events of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports, which has passed state accreditation in "Turkmenstandartlary".
Certificate validity period: The certificate of conformity is issued for a period of up to 3 years.
Requirements for sports facilities: Strict standards are established for technical equipment, safety, sanitary and epidemiological conditions and fire protection of premises.
Professional requirements: Sports organizations must have qualified specialists who meet the requirements approved by the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports.
Certified services will undergo annual testing for compliance with established requirements. Provision of services without a certificate is subject to liability under the legislation of Turkmenistan.
Owners of sports complexes, fitness centers and other providers of sports services are advised to familiarize themselves with the requirements of the new order in advance and bring their activities into compliance with them.
