The construction of a road bridge across the Garabogazgol Bay on the Turkmenbashi-Garabogaz-Kazakhstan border highway is moving towards completion at a rapid pace.
The builders intend to complete the work in May, which will be a worthy labor gift for the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality.
Currently, work is underway to concretize all bridge supports, including piles, columns and crossbars, install bridge control panels, insulate columns, and install and move metal structures between columns, reports "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The access roads of the Turkmenbashi-Garabogaz bridge are also prepared for asphalt paving.
According to experts, international requirements are strictly observed here. The object under construction is a bridge with two-way traffic, consisting of two traffic lanes. The length of the bridge will be 354 meters, and the width - 21 meters. Thus, the load-bearing and throughput capacity of the road bridge is ensured, as well as its long-term operation in accordance with international standards and norms.
Let us remind that the construction of the bridge of international importance began in July 2022.
