Turkmenistan has proposed to the Caspian countries to create joint logistics centers

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, during his speech at the Third Caspian Economic Forum in Tehran, proposed that the Caspian states create joint logistics centers and platforms, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.

Geldimyradov also emphasized the importance of the North-South transport corridor projects along the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea with access to Iran and further to the seaports of the Indian Ocean, as well as the Trans-Caspian international transport route.

In addition, he recalled Turkmenistan's initiatives to create a Global Atlas of Sustainable Transport Connectivity and the Alliance for Global Energy Security and Sustainable Development.

Within the framework of the forum, the delegation of Turkmenistan was received by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and First Vice President of the Islamic Republic Mohammad Reza Aref.

The Caspian Five includes Turkmenistan, Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran and Kazakhstan.
