The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Ashgabat hosted a reception in honor of the Day of Russian Diplomatic Worker, during which the series of musical evenings “Diplomatic Notes” was inaugurated. At the event, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan, pianist Vladimir Mkrtumov, performed before the guests and performed works of piano music, creating a festive mood.
After the concert, a festive buffet was held, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov, representatives of the diplomatic corps, business and public circles.Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin, in his welcoming speech, briefly spoke about the history of the Russian diplomatic service and thanked the leadership of Turkmenistan for the excellent conditions for the daily work and life of the diplomatic corps.
Ahmet Gurbanov expressed gratitude to Russian diplomats for their contribution to establishing effective interaction between countries, noting the high professionalism and significance of the Russian-Turkmen strategic partnership, which includes political and diplomatic cooperation,cultural and humanitarian interaction, trade and economic contacts, as well as cooperation in the field of education, culture and sports.
Ambassador Volynkin, in turn, thanked the leadership of Turkmenistan for their support and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of the mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries.
Diplomat's Day is celebrated annually in Russia on February 10.
