A screening of a joint film by filmmakers from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan dedicated to the memory of the great thinker Magtymguly Fragi took place at the Turkish House in New York. The event, organized by TURKSOY, brought together many guests, including UN representatives and the actors who starred in the film.
According to the press service of TURKSOY, the film screening began with the opening of a photo exhibition on the theme of "Cultural Capitals of the Turkic World" and " Magtymguly Fragi". The guests were able to get acquainted with the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic world through the presented shots. Then, the film " Magtymguly Fragi", which had previously won the main prize at the IV festival of Turkic films "Korkut Ata", was shown in the conference hall of the Turkish House.
TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Rayev noted the importance of cultural ties between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, emphasizing that the film is a symbol of the unity of the Turkic world. He also recalled that 2025 has been declared the "International Year of Peace and Trust" in Turkmenistan, and expressed hope that such events will help strengthen cultural ties and support young talents.
