In accordance with the Roadmap for the reconstruction of automobile checkpoints in Kazakhstan for 2024-2025, large-scale work is planned to improve the performance of some checkpoints, the UIET reports with reference to the Kazakh diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan.
In this regard, from February 1, 2025 and for a period of up to 16 months, it is planned to temporarily close the Alimbet and Syrym checkpoints on the Kazakh-Russian state border, located in the West Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions.
The Embassy recommends that drivers and logistics companies of Turkmenistan take these changes into account when planning routes and transportation during the specified period.
