Registration of participants for the International Forum to Attract Foreign Investments into the Economy of Turkmenistan (TEIF 2025), which will be held on April 23-24 in Kuala Lumpur, has begun. The event will be attended by representatives of major international organizations and financial institutions, including OPEC, the World Bank, the EBRD, as well as heads of leading energy companies - Petronas, TotalEnergies, ExxonMobil, Dragon Oil, ENI and others.
The forum is organized by the state concerns "Turkmengaz", "Turkmennebit" and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The event will present investment opportunities in various sectors of the country's economy, including the oil and gas industry, energy, construction, transport and agriculture.
Particular attention at the forum will be paid to issues of sustainable development and environmental responsibility. Following Turkmenistan's recent accession to the Global Methane Agreement at COP 28, organizers have planned a special session dedicated to reducing methane emissions and developing sustainable energy.
The previous TEIF 2024, held in Paris, contributed to the conclusion of significant investment agreements in the energy sector of Turkmenistan. The organizers expect that holding the event in Kuala Lumpur will contribute to increased investment from Southeast Asian countries.
