Turkmenistan celebrated the 75th anniversary of the founding of the PRC, a brown bear from Russia settled in the Ashgabat Zoo, Armenia is interested in deepening friendly ties with Turkmenistan and other news

1. Ashgabat hosted a ceremonial event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The PRC Ambassador to Turkmenistan delivered a welcoming speech, noting Turkmenistan's impressive achievements over 33 years of independence. The diplomat emphasized the country's growing role in maintaining regional and global security.

2. A young brown bear, which arrived here recently from a division of the Moscow Zoo – the Volokolamsk Center for the Reproduction of Rare Wild Animals, has found a permanent home at the National Museum of Wildlife of Turkmenistan. The bear was donated to the Ashgabat Zoo by the Eurasian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums in honor of the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.

3. President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a congratulatory message to his Turkmen counterpart Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of Turkmenistan's Independence Day. In his address, Khachaturyan noted: “Armenia values friendly ties with Turkmenistan and is interested in their further deepening”. The message also included gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for his warm congratulations previously sent on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia.

4. During the summit of mayors “Cities of the Future” in Geneva, the Turkmen delegation proposed to start an international dialogue on two key issues: water management and the development of urban youth. In particular, the Turkmen speaker, the mayor of the Avaza etrap Dovlet Jumayev voiced a proposal to create a new legal instrument for water management under the auspices of the UNECE and organize an international youth meeting in the smart city of Arkadag.

5. Turkmen journalists visited the Turkish city of Izmir on a cultural and educational visit. On the first day of their stay, the journalists visited the Alacati region, where they got acquainted with local attractions, including an old windmill that is over 150 years old. On the second day of the visit, the delegation went to the historical district of Urla, located 35 km from the center of Izmir. Journalists visited local boutiques and workshops where unique handicrafts are created, such as carpets, textiles, wooden products and ceramics. The guests were especially impressed by the 14th-century Fatih Ibrahim Bey Mosque, which has been preserved almost in its original form. In the coming days, the delegation plans to visit the Olive Oil Museum, the ancient city of Ephesus and the Archaeological Museum for a more in-depth study of the history of the region.

6. Within the framework of the visit of the Turkmen delegation to the United States, a meeting was held at the State Department, where strategic partnership in the field of education was discussed. The Turkmen side was represented by the Deputy Minister of Education, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United States, as well as vice-rectors of the country's leading universities. The main topic of discussion was the development of educational cooperation between the two countries. Special attention was paid to the development of new formats of academic exchanges and the possibility of creating branches of American universities in Turkmenistan.

9. The Jordanian refereeing team will officiate the AFC 2 Champions League second round match between the Turkmen club “Altyn Asyr” and the Bahraini team “Al-Khaldiya”. The match will be held today at the “Ashgabat” stadium and will start at 19:00 local time. On the eve of the game, a press conference was held in Ashgabat with the participation of representatives of both teams, where they shared their expectations for the upcoming match.
“Altyn Asyr” head coach Yazkuli Hojageldyev spoke about the team's condition and preparation for the match. He noted that all the players, with the exception of defender Serdar Annaorazov, who suffered a minor injury, are in good shape and ready for the game.

10. Turkmen athletes won 7 gold and 5 bronze medals at the Youth World Kickboxing Cup, which ended in Tashkent. The competition, held under the auspices of the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations, brought together more than 2000 athletes from more than 40 countries. The tournament included competitions in seven disciplines in the ring and tatami, covering various kickboxing styles, including “full-contact”, “low-kick”, “kick-light” and K-1.
