The Turkmenistan national hockey team defeated the Luxembourg team in the third round of the World Championship in the third division.
The match in Istanbul ended with a score of 8:3 (1:1, 0:1, 7:1). Pavel Barkovskiy scored a hat-trick for the winners, Baymyrat Baymyradov scored twice, Musa Annasaparov, Nazar Gylydzhov and Maksatgeldy Ballyev scored a goal each.
Following this match, the Turkmenistan national team scored 9 points and is in second place in the standings, behind the leading team Kyrgyzstan only in the difference between goals scored and conceded.
In other matches of the tournament day, the Turkish national team beat the South African team with a score of 7:0, and the Kyrgyz hockey players defeated the Bosnia and Herzegovina team – 5:1.
The next match of the team of head coach Ilyas Veliyev will be against the national team of Kyrgyzstan on April 25. The match starts at 15:00 Ashgabat time. Then the Turkmen team will meet the national team of South Africa on April 27.
