The Turkmenistan women's tennis team among girls under 14 secured a place in the quarterfinals of the preliminary qualifying tournament of the ITF World Junior Tennis Championship in the Asia-Oceania zone, which is taking place in Isa Town (Bahrain). The Turkmen athletes won their second victory, beating the Oceania team with a score of 2:1, which allowed them to take first place in group C, the publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" reports.
The team's victory was brought by Nazli Hudaykuliyeva, who defeated Joelle Ioane with a score of 6:2, 6:1, and Aylar Kakabayeva, who beat Alexandria Chand - 6:3, 6:3. In the doubles match, Turkmen tennis players Sara Garahanova and Nazli Hudaykuliyeva lost in the super tie-break to the representatives of Oceania - 4:6, 6:3 [5:10], but this did not affect the final distribution of places in the group.

In the quarterfinals, the Turkmenistan team will meet the winner of group E, the Philippines. The winner of this match will play the Sri Lanka team, which took first place in group A, in the semifinals.
The tournament in Bahrain brought together 18 teams divided into 6 groups. According to the regulations, only the group winners will continue the fight for two tickets to the final stage of qualification, which will be held in April 2025 in Malaysia.
