At the conference of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan (FFT) held in Ashgabat, Guvanchmuhamed Ovekov was unanimously re-elected as chairman for a four-year term, the press service of the federation reported. The event took place in the conference hall of the "Yyldyz" hotel with the participation of representatives of FIFA, AFC, NOC, the Ministry of Justice and the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan.
During the conference, deputy chairmen were also elected: Rakhat Garajaev took the post of first deputy, and Nazar Choliev became the second deputy. In addition, the participants of the event formed a new composition of the FFT Executive Committee.
The conference included a review of the past football season and a discussion of plans for the future. The chairman, general secretary and other federation specialists made presentations.
In his speech, Guvanchmuhamed Ovekov thanked the participants for their trust and emphasized that large-scale work is being carried out in Turkmenistan to popularize and develop football.
