Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office at Geneva Vepa Hajiev gave an interview to the prestigious Swiss magazine Diva. This was reported on the website of the Permanent Mission.
The interview with the Diva correspondent was dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality – in order to familiarize the general international community with the country's key foreign policy initiatives.
In the interview, the Permanent Representative emphasized the historical significance of the country's neutrality, its role in ensuring regional stability and active participation in international peacekeeping initiatives.
Special attention in the conversation was paid to the humanitarian and economic aspects of neutrality, as well as Turkmenistan's international cooperation with various states and organizations. V. Hajiev spoke in detail about the country's contribution to environmental security, sustainable development and energy diplomacy.
